Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu® is a gentle, non-invasive healing art that supports balance and regulation within the body by working with the energetic pathways that influence physical, emotional, and nervous system functioning. Rooted in ancient Japanese wisdom and informed by modern understanding of physiology and stress, the practice uses light touch, breath awareness, and intentional placement of the hands to help restore harmony where energy has become disrupted or stagnant.
Core Principles:
Energy Flow & Regulation: Jin Shin Jyutsu® is based on the understanding that energy moves through specific pathways in the body, and that stress, trauma, or illness can interrupt this flow. Gentle contact at key sites helps the system reorganize toward balance.
Safety, Simplicity, and Stillness: The work is subtle and non-forceful, inviting the body into a parasympathetic state without manipulation or demand. This makes it especially supportive for sensitive or overwhelmed nervous systems.
Self-Awareness & Supportive Presence: Sessions emphasize presence and listening to the body’s cues, allowing regulation to unfold at a pace the nervous system can integrate.
What Clients Experience:
During a session, clients remain fully clothed and rest comfortably while the practitioner places their hands lightly on specific areas of the body in a sequence known as a “flow.” These placements correspond to energetic pathways associated with organ function, emotional patterns, and stress responses. Clients may notice shifts in breathing, warmth, relaxation, emotional release, or a sense of internal settling as balance is restored.
Who It Supports:
Jin Shin Jyutsu® is appropriate for a wide range of individuals, including those experiencing chronic stress, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, pain, or nervous system dysregulation. Because the approach is gentle and does not require reliving or recounting experiences, it can be particularly helpful for clients who prefer a non-verbal, body-based entry point to regulation and healing.
Best suited for:
• Clients needing regulation + grounding
• Those pairing somatic care with therapy
• Individuals not ready for trauma processing

With regular practice, Jin Shin Jyutsu® may support:

Jin Shin Jyutsu® is offered as a complementary, supportive modality, emphasizing consent, attunement, and the body’s innate capacity to restore balance when given the right conditions.
“Cobi offers Jin Shin Jyutsu in a way that is completely accessible to people with no prior knowledge or experience with it (like me). She is an intuitive, gentle yet powerful healer that creates space for you to open up and receive with confidence and trust.
The process was exceedingly relaxing and put me in such a state of release and flow, I almost fell blissfully asleep. We worked on a digestive issue that amazingly enough was cleared by the next day.
The nature of the practice is divinely empowering, in that you have the tools to heal yourself. Cobi's nature fits effortlessly with these teachings in her generosity, strength and passion for empowering those around her. "
