My Healing Approach

My skill-set is a wellness toolkit, curating it to suit the needs of individuals both professionally and personally. I believe in integrative and comprehensive healthcare, so I might be a piece of a larger healthcare team. My priority is to help you feel better and will bring in all the tools I have to do just that.

My holistic approach seamlessly integrates my knowledge, expertise, and experience to offer dynamic care to my clients.

As a LMT, my area of expertise is in somatic light-touch therapy using the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Coregulating Touch and Transforming Touch®. These therapies utilize gentle, non-invasive light-touch to restore a person’s health and well-being.

I believe everyone deserves to feel healthy, vibrant and fulfilled, while being able to trust in their body’s innate healing nature. I recognize that no two people are the same, therefore I tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients.

Hands-on treatments are a blend of somatic techniques and movement therapy. I help promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.

Throughout my 9 years as a practitioner, I have witnessed a profound change in my clients’ capacity to achieve their maximum potential and the happiness that comes from a sense of well-being.

Who I work with

I believe that therapeutic bodywork is an investment in yourself, adding great value to your overall well-being.

I work best with those who are active participants in their own health and well-being, come with an open mind, have a desire to learn and make changes. I value your time and the work we will do together.

Individual therapy offered for teens (16+) and adults.

Time Commitment

Typically I work with people for 60 minutes on a weekly basis, and with time, reduce our frequency to bi-weekly. Each session cumulatively builds upon itself so allowing the time to receive, process and integrate the work is important.

What will set you up for the greatest success is:

  • 1.

A desire and willingness to make changes

  • 2.

Be an active participant who is committed to the process

  • 3.

Create a self-care practice that will maximize and maintain the work we will do together

Benefits

Positive, nurturing touch creates the environment where healing can take place. When a person is in a relaxed state called parasympathetic that is when the body can begin to heal and repair.

What I offer is an opportunity to experience peace and to initiate trust in the innate healing nature of your body while helping to decrease any stress, pain or fatigue.

“ Our work together will transform the way you live in your body.”

Each session is designed to create a more informed relationship to your body and work with the conditions that affect your health. The aim is to help you move towards better, more optimally functioning health.

Our initial sessions will be dedicated to assessing your current state of wellness. We will work together to address the main areas of discomfort and start to unravel the road that got you there. I like my clients to understand that the work is not linear, so it is best to come with an open mind, sense of curiosity and an intention for change.
