Hello!

I am Cobi Konadu.

As a licensed massage therapist, my area of expertise in somatic therapy is with the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Somatic Awareness and Transforming Touch®. These therapies utilize gentle, non-invasive light touch to restore a person’s health and well-being.

I believe everyone deserves to feel healthy, vibrant and fulfilled, and to be able to trust in the body’s innate healing nature.

Growing up in a family that always incorporated holistic, alternative methods of healing shaped my view, approach and relationship to health care. So when I think about my journey it feels like no accident that I’m here.

In 2019, I was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Lupus.

Life altering experience to say the least.

Through my own healing experiences, I understand what it is like to live with chronic pain, fatigue and emotional upset. These are things that can greatly affect the quality of a person's life.

Compassion, hope and love are just a few of the words I have come to know intimately as I hold space for myself living with this disease. I have come to view Lupus as a gift, one that has brought me into the deepest connection with myself and shown me how to truly live. I want to share that gift with others. To help them understand that major health labels don’t have to mean the end of living. And if you step into embracing that challenge, you can set yourself on a path to live a fulfilled, meaningful life.

So, when I offer my experience, I am sharing a personal and professional journey.

It is important for my clients to feel seen and heard when receiving care. Ultimately, I want people to feel empowered by their good health and know that change is possible.

Training & Experience

Originally based out of New York, my career in wellness began as a deep need to reconnect and reinvest in myself. I bring a combined experience of 20+ years within the field of Yoga, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, Mindfulness and Somatic Therapy to the clients I work with.

Woven in there is my background of graphic design and fashion that infuses a sense of creativity and curiosity to my work.

My practice has brought me to work with people in all over the world from ages 2 up to 96!

Beginning in 2015, my formal training as a professional practitioner includes 1,000+ hours of training, education and hand-ons experience in addition to 1,500+ hours of teaching, professional practice and application. Every year I continue to build my knowledge and skillset that allows me to deliver quality, informed care.
