I can see clearly now, the rain has gone

Who else feels like they need an assistant just to get their day-to-day tasks done?!

I am currently raising my hand high.

Kudos to our parents and all the parents currently out there who manage to do life and have kids.

Speaking of kids...I have some exciting news! I've been asked to run an after school program for an inner city all boys school :)

I am thrilled to have this opportunity to be teaching them but even more than that, allowing them to become my teacher. Kids are truly amazing beings, who unlike adults haven't had the full conditioning yet of being fully disconnected from their intuitive nature.

Last week I worked with another school up in Harlem, teaching 5th graders to meditate while holding their fingers. The magic that transpired with them was something I didn't see coming.

Funny that I use the word SEE because that is exactly what happened for one of the little boys in the group. After our meditation I gave each one of them a moment to share their experience.

For this particular student, when it was his turn he said with each finger he held, he saw a different color.

This in and of itself wasn't to crazy because other people I have worked on have seen colors.

Here's the truly jaw dropping moment...

When I asked if this had happened to him before, he said no because he is
COLOR BLIND!!!

The way he sees the world is mostly in shades of grey and white.

OK, I'll give you a moment to pick your jaw up off the floor.

Best part of the experience for him, was the opportunity to see color the way normal people see it.

I'm still in awe and this happened almost two weeks ago!

Feeling so grateful to have this be one of my first experiences with the kids. I cannot wait to see what unfolds over the next few months with all of them.

As I wrote this newsletter - the theme just naturally came to light.

We are now moving into the season of Spring which is a time of transformation and new beginnings. Looking to nature as our guide, it shows us that the hibernation is over and it's time for us to start blossoming.

As we start to come out of our winter stupor, we are seeing the world in a new light. Spring is very much about connecting to your soul - seeing it and the world around you with clarity.

If that clarity fades at any point in time, you can come to hold your
- Middle Finger -

Why is this the finger to hold?

Your Middle Finger is connected to the season of Spring which is represented by our Liver and Gall Bladder function energy. When these two organ functions are in harmony, we are able to see the world and ourselves in it with clear vision.

It also helps us to dissipate the attitude of Anger.

Think to a time when you were angry, how clearly could you see the situation?

I'm guessing not too well if you are like most people.

Holding your Middle Finger does a whole lotta good for you.
I mean who doesn't want to see life through clear eyes?

For now I am going to leave you with that self-help. Use it like it's going out of style to help with the up and down transitions of the beautiful season.
