To decide or not to decide, that is the question

You guys, I accidentally deleted the ENTIRE newsletter I had written for last week!!!
It came at a moment where I was hanging on by a thread for energy level and motivation.

I think a tear might've rolled down my cheek as I sat there in astonishment. At that moment after the true shocked passed, all I could do is laugh.

Not quite sure what messages life is trying to convey to me right now but there have been a lot of swirling questions, restless sleep and dragging of my feet to finish up certain projects. I feel I am in this fog of not knowing how to take the next step, to make a decision and if I'm being quite honest, in desperate need of a good cry - that always provides substantial relief.

In life we have a tendency to want to blame what is happening to us on external factors, not always taking responsibility for our part.

In knowing that though, I am still going to pull my "it's not because of me" card and blame the irregularities of this past week on the New Moon we just had.

I mean isn't that what a New or Full Moon is for?

My working knowledge of the moon and its phases are not in depth which motivated me to research this past week a bit more, giving me something to confirm the wackiness that was.

Here's what I learned about New Moons (which occurred on Saturday)

"A powerful Solar Eclipse at the New Moon in Pisces on February 26, 2017, pulls the wool over our eyes as it joins confusing Neptune.

We may be at the start of a new emotional cycle, yet our view of reality will likely go through several iterations of change before clarity returns. It may take a while to sort out the facts surrounding our experiences, but it’s nearly impossible to avoid the shock of awakening to the truth."

and a little context of what a new moon represents in our life -

"When the moon is considered "new," that means it's invisible to the naked eye — and it only becomes visible again as a very thin crescent, usually a couple days after it disappears from view. Since this moment in the moon's cycle appears to mimic death and rebirth, the new moon is often taken as a sign of new beginnings. That's why new moon rituals in nature-based faiths involve cleansing, reflecting on personal growth, and other practices that are equivalent to hitting the spiritual "reset" button.

Astrologically speaking, the moon rules our inner selves and our emotions. So, even if nothing is changing in your life, you might feel different when the new moon rolls around anyway. Astrologers associate this phase with uncertainty and learning to sit with that feeling, rather than rushing from one thing to the next."

This explains why in one moment I feel I have the confidence to climb Mt. Everest and in the next moment I feel I barely have the strength to walk up a hill.

It explains why I have written and rewritten this newsletter almost 5 times. My perspective shifts based on what I see, listen too or feel. A major contributing factor was my accidentally delete of a newsletter that was all ready to send - whomp :(

The struggle was real.

Soooo... I think we can all safely say whatever was not lining up this week was because of the moon. That's my story and I'm sticking too it!

And now that we are armed with this information of how powerful moon cycles can be, we will be better prepared for next time.

- A little heads up for March's Moon Cycle -

Full Moon - March 12th.

New Moon -  March 28th.

March's Full Moon is commonly known as the Worm Moon because it's the time of the year when warmer temperatures thaw the ground and earth worms reemerge bringing migrating birds back to feed on them.

Moving onto this week's self-help.

This past week I found it very difficult to make a decision. Any time I would attempt it, my ego mind would dumb a truck load of internal questions on me creating extra work to sift through them.

I realized now what I needed was the ability to make a clear decision(s) with a helping of balance. As I perused my texts I found the solution I desperately needed, SEL #6.

*Quick refresher - SEL stands for Safety Energy Lock, they act as the body's circuit breaker system. When they become overloaded and need to be harmonized, they send signals to us in the form of physical, mental or emotional discomfort.

SEL #6 comes into this world representing BALANCE & DISCRIMINATION. Couldn't be more perfect for what I was looking for. By holding it, we give ourselves a clear perception of reality helping to determine our pathway in life.  It also helps chest congestion, digestion and dizziness.

Instructions

1. Fit a comfortable place to sit
2. Place RIGHT HAND on arch of RIGHT foot
3. At the same time, place LEFT HAND on the arch of the LEFT foot
4. Create a nice rhythm of inhales and exhales.
5. Hold for 2-3 minutes or till you feel a sense of peace.

* If this position is not comfortable you can hold one arch at a time OR hold either MIDDLE FINGER which helps to harmonize SEL 6.
